We realized that something was missing from “challenge obstacle racing.” Anyone can make you tromp through mud or carry tires, but why wasn’t my training rewarded? Other adventure races, make you rely on others to complete checkpoints but what if the challenges were so grueling that the better you worked with others, the easier the course would become the rest of the way?  The Dirty Hog was specifically designed to create a course with alternate routes and rewards completely dependent on how you perform at each individual checkpoint. 

Dirty Truth #1 – Hog Tests

The Dirty Hog is not a race….it is a test.  For the first time in mud run history, each checkpoint will test your grit, will, strength and ability to work as a team with a tangible reward.  Our Hog Tests, reward you not just on the course, but off it as well.  Some checkpoints make the course shorter if completed, while others will force you to carry your weight in pig feed if you cant wrangle enough fellow competitors to succeed.   For every completed Hog Test, you will receive not only course reward but also a color coded hog tie bracelet which signifies your completion.  Trust us, your fellow competitors as well our HOG GIRLS will be impressed by the Dirty hoggers with the most bracelets at our HOG PIT AFTER PARTY. Your hog tie wristbands might even get you some special priviliges or cool stuff at the post party.  Our course is military designed and US military grade…do you have what it takes?  We will all know just by looking at your wrist at the end of the race.

Dirty Truth #2 – The Dirty Hog is for Everyone

The Dirty Hog has no natural predators, charge and attack rather than flee and an encounter with a dirty hog can leave you bleeding and/or dead.  That pretty much summarizes the hogs we are trying to wrangle for our course.  We want to see who the real tough hoggers are out there. Although you should be in good physical shape, you do not have to be the most badass endurance athlete.   We promise that our course is the toughest 9-12 mile run ever created, but it is also the most rewarding (literally and figuratively).  Everyone should finish…just some peoples might take a little longer and their path to the end will look and feel a lot different than others.  If you finally want the animal inside to choose its own adventure then sign up.

Dirty Truth #3 – Pigs Like to Party

At the end of every run will be the OFFICIAL HOG PIT AFTER PARTY complete with our HOG GIRLS.  When you get to the end (even if we have to carry you) grab a beer, enjoy some live music with a  pulled pork sandwich and take a picture with our official Hog Race Boar – LOLA.  Of course the more wristbands you are able to earn on the course, the more rewards you will receive, but no matter who you are,  after playing in the mud all day…we promise this after party will be down and dirty.

Dirty Truth #4 – Our Pledge.
